Casey Duke Feldman
This talented New York filmmaker won the Best Short prize at the 2005 Flying Popcorn! International Children's Film Festival for his comedy, PETITE, a short film about being...well...short!

So how old were you when you first started making films? I was 11.

What do you enjoy most about being a filmmaker? I think film is one of the best ways to convey emotion and express yourself. It's really nice to have people understand what you are trying to get across in a film.

What kind of editing equipment and cameras do you use? I use a Sony Digital Handcam and I edit on Final Cut Pro.

Do you plan on further pursuing filmmaking? I do. I will keep working as hard as possible for as long as possible.

Are you working on any films now or are you planning making one soon? I am working on a film now that I have been shooting all over New York City. It has a very dream-like feel to it. And, hopefully, it will get as positive a reaction as PETITE did.

Have you submitted PETITE or any other films to film festivals other than Flying Popcorn!? Yes, some of the festivals are the L.A. Short Film Festival, Chicago Shorts, Austin Film Festival and festivals in New York City.

Which filmmakers do you admire? A few of my favorites are Wes Anderson, P.T. Anderson, Michael Gondry and Won Kar-Wai. They are all incredible artists, each in their own very unique way.
