Eleyne Austen Sharp, Founder/Executive Director ..........
Eleyne Austen Sharp has spent 28 years as a freelance writer, copywriter, publicist, editor, author and events producer. She also produced local cable television shows in Marblehead, Massachusetts and later worked in Washington, D.C. for WETA-TV and the nationally-acclaimed syndicated "America's Black Forum with Julian Bond". In 1990, Sharp moved to Newport, Rhode Island, where she became actively involved in the writing community as the founder and executive director of Community Writers Association, a national non-profit organization which hosted the Newport Writers Conference and other programs. She formed her book publishing and events promotion company, Austen Sharp LLC, in 1996 and has produced numerous events, including Haunted Newport, Flying Popcorn! International Children's Film Festival, Newport Metaphysical Faire, PirateFest and Cap'n Nick's Newport Pirate Walk. She is the author of Haunted Newport and Pirate Fever! Additionally, Sharp is a certified color therapist who conducts color appreciation and "rainbow writing" workshops. Sharp has served as the Program Director for the Newport Writers Conference, Providence Writers Conference, New England Screenwriters Conference, ScriptBiz screenwriting seminar, KidsEye International Film Festival and KidsEye filmmaking camp of the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
Adam Campbell, Western Massachusetts Regional Coordinator .......... A professional screenwriter, animator and creator of the "Doodle Do" children's animation kit, Adam has written for Walt Disney Television and sold numerous options on his original screenplays. He is a two-time recipient of the coveted Chesterfield fellowship sponsored by Steven Spielberg and is currently developing a new animated television series in collaboration with animator Adam Burke (The Iron Giant, The Incredibles).
