Summer Shoot - Portsmouth

 

 

DATES: August 3-7, 2009
TIMES: 9AM-4PM
LOCATION: The Players Ring, 105 Marcy Street, Portsmouth, NH
AGE GROUP: ages 10-15 (child must be at least 10 years old by July 13)

REGISTRATION INCLUDES: one DVD copy of film projects (i.e. editing, duplication, shipping) and certificate of completion. Returnees and advanced filmmakers are welcome to work on their own independent projects and bring laptop computers to edit their work.

CAMP DESCRIPTION: Working movie production units, featuring an intensive full-day curriculum for beginning and returning filmmakers, i.e. hands-on instruction in acting, directing, lighting and sound, makeup, screenwriting and videography. (Editing instruction is not included in this Beginners camp.)

Each crew (divided by age) will produce a 1) documentary about peace or ecology, 2) Kid Filmmakers commercial and 3) drama, comedy or musical.

NOTE: This filmmaking camp includes daily movie screenings. Movies are shown to inspire and illustrate specific film techniques and are a significant part of the film education process.
