Working movie production units, featuring an intensive full-day curriculum for beginning and returning filmmakers, i.e. hands-on instruction in acting, animation, directing, lighting and sound, makeup, screenwriting and videography. Each crew (divided by age) will produce a 1) documentary about peace or ecology, 2) animated video blog and 3) drama, comedy or musical.

Tuition includes daily film screenings, DVD copy of film projects (i.e. editing, duplication, shipping), certificate of completion and wrap party. Returnees are welcome to work on their own independent projects and bring laptop computers to edit their work. tentative schedule

Box 12, Newport, RI 02840. Should you wish to pay by credit card via PayPal, please click the appropriate category below. For this convenience, a service fee will be charged. (You must still print and mail the registration form and medical form to Kid Filmmakers.) Sorry--we do not accept telephone registrations.
FINANCIAL AID: Kid Filmmakers is pleased to offer partial and full scholarships to deserving recipients. Partial scholarships are designed to cover the difference between what a family can pay and the actual fee. Applications for scholarships will be processed on a first-come, first served basis until funds are depleted. Only one scholarship per family is available. Please note that applications or registrations that are incomplete or lack the partial payment cannot be processed. (See scholarship application.) All awards are confidential.
